Travel and Lodging
Air Travel
The most convenient flight option is to fly into DCA - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The D.C. Metro has a stop at DCA airport and upon arrival, you can catch the Metro at DCA to Ballston (38-41 minutes). You may also fly into BWI or Dulles but they the most distant and complicated options requiring you to deal with a longer commute to and from the airport.
From Dulles, you can take the Silver Line straight to the Ballston-MU Station. This trip will take 46-60 minutes depending on the time of day. You may also hire a car service but this would be your most expensive option.
Train Travel
From BWI, you can take the AMTRAK, MARC train, or car service. The DC Metro does not extend to Baltimore. The AMTRAK and the Marc train will both take you to Union Station and this trip, regardless of how you take it, will require approximately 90 minutes from BWI. From Union Station, you would take the Red line to the Orange or Silver line to Ballston-MU Station. This trip is approximately 23 minutes depending on the time of day.
CarTravel
If you plan to arrive by car, you may find it challenging to find reliable and reasonable parking options. There is no public parking at The Nature Conservancy so you may want to include parking with your lodging accommodations. Click here for parking garages near The Nature Conservancy.
