Job Description

 Twenty per week

 Initially home based, transitioning to office location as circumstances permit or require

 Pay rate

 $70,000 per annum equivalent / $35,000 pa pro rata

Responsibilities and tasks

Strategy and financial performance

- Develop and implement an action plan to achieve the goals and priorities determined by the Board’s strategic plan.
- Provide regular reports to the Board to track progress against strategic objectives, including the provision of a report to support more detailed conversations at Board meetings (held every two months or as required).
- With Board support, devise and implement strategies to acquire new members and retain existing members.
- With Board support, devise and implement strategies to strengthen the PFFA’s long-term financial sustainability.
- Approve expenditure within agreed budgets and financial delegation levels.

 Management and leadership

- In partnership with Board members, represent the PFFA to members and external stakeholders including sector associations and government, regulatory and fundraising access control bodies.
- Provide leadership, management, and support for the Member Services Associate as the line manager for that position. 

Membership support

- Develop and maintain and ongoing program of personal contact with PFFA members.
- Manage the resolution of member queries relating to the PFFA Code of Conduct, ATMS and other issues, acting as the escalation point for any such queries not resolved by the Member Services Associate and escalating any issues to the Board as appropriate.
- Support the drafting and approve member communications, including emails and newsletters.
- Support the Member Services Associate in management of service suppliers, including for the PFFA’s CRM system and Automated Territory Management System (ATMS).
- Attend and contribute to PFFA member work group sessions (three per year) including preparation and presentation of sessions updating members on the work of the PFFA.

Board and governance

- Provide regular reports to the Board to track progress of strategic objectives, including the provision of a report to support more detailed conversations at Board meetings (held every two months or as required).
- Participation in Board meetings including support for the preparation and circulation of agendas, supporting documents and meeting minutes.

Administrative support

- Provide administrative support if required if other staff are unavailable.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of administrative systems.

Skills, experience, and attributes required

 Skills and experience

- Experience in organizational leadership in the nonprofit sector, within either face-to-face or other forms of fundraising, member association management or another similar role.
- Experience of working in the nonprofit sector.
- Experience of working in a membership-based organization.
- Experience in working with and providing support to volunteer boards.
- Experience in representing an organization in public forums and to external stakeholders including government and sector representatives.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful strategies for the recruitment and retention of members and customers.
- Experience in supporting a diverse set of stakeholders and achieving equitable and fair outcomes.
- Experience in successfully managing staff teams in remote locations.
- Representation of an organization to diverse stakeholders in different situations.
- Experience in the oversight of organizational financial governance.
- Good knowledge of computer systems including MS Office package.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
