The PFFA is the self-regulatory association for non-profit organizations that utilize face-to-face fundraising, professional fundraising agencies that provide face-to-face fundraising services, and other organizations that support them in the U.S. market. The PFFA welcomes U.S.-based non-profit organizations using face-to-face fundraising as part of their fundraising portfolio to apply for membership. Charities may acquire these donors via contracts with professional fundraising agencies or through in-house fundraising teams.

Professional fundraising agencies operating within the U.S. who hold a current, direct contract with a non-profit organization to acquire new sustaining donors through face-to-face are welcome to apply for Professional Fundraising Agency membership with the PFFA.

The PFFA also welcomes a wide range of organizations, fundraising agencies, and consulting firms that supply services that support face-to-face and monthly giving programs to apply for Affiliate membership, including professional fundraising agencies who subcontract and who do not have a direct NPO contract and non-profit organizations operating outside of the United States.
